Travel to Cuba with us!
SUPPORT FOR THE CUBAN PEOPLE & PEOPLE-TO-PEOPLE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
Effective June 9, 2022 the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has reinstated the "people-to-people" category of legal travel to Cuba. This amendment authorizes group educational travel conducted under the auspices of an organization that is subject to U.S. jurisdiction and that sponsors such exchanges to promote people-to-people contact, provided such travelers are accompanied by agent of the sponsoring organization.
Cuba has recently re-opened and returned to the "new normal". The international airport of Havana is already welcoming international visitors and Cuba has resumed its place as the safest destination in the world. Visitors can expect a safe and COVID-19 free environment!
In spite of the U.S. sanctions, Cuba has successfully curbed the coronavirus after two years of fierce fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Cuba has managed to control the pandemic early on closing borders and vigorously screening for cases. As of now, 94 percent of Cuba's 11 millions people have received at least one dose of the domestically made vaccines. According to the Johns Hopkins University of Medicine, 88.03% of the population is fully vaccinated.
Cuba has proven its hospitality to foreign visitors for decades. If you have never visited Cuba, this is a very unique opportunity to do so. If you have traveled to Cuba before, this is the right moment to continue your support the Cuban people.
